Our Story

In the vast plains of Southern Brazil raising cattle is a way of life. The Gauchos, South American cowboys, herd lost cattle for ranchers and live off the land. Known for their hospitality and generosity, the Gauchos would prepare an abundant feast by slow cooking their various meats over an open flame. In addition to the meats, the Gauchos would prepare a feast of beans, rice and seasonal items.

At Braza, guests are tempted with a bountiful salad area featuring gourmet salad items, seasonal vegetables, traditional Brazilian dishes, and French specialties. After, in the tradition of the Gauchos, the talented Meat Carvers serve straight from the grill, various cuts of beef, chicken, lamb and pork carved tableside. To complement the meal, guests are offered, à la carte, an assortment of fresh Brazilian and French desserts. With a generous variety of items, this continuous dining experience will please even the most discerning appetites. This fixed-price meal is truly an unlimited dining feast.

Braza’s owners, Bruno and Cynthia, met in Lausanne, Switzerland while studying in Hotel Management School. Bruno is from France, where he managed a Provençal restaurant owned by his family since 1921, in the historical city of Avignon. Cynthia was raised on her family farm in Southern Brazil. Never one to shy away from work, she was involved in every aspect of the business. When Bruno and Cynthia met their shared passion for hospitality was just the beginning of their partnership. On Bruno’s first trip to Brazil he fell in love with the “Rodizio Concept”. Since then, it has been their dream to open up a Brazilian Churrascaria that incorporates the concepts of fine French dining. For the past several years they have studied and developed ideas to bring their Churrascaria to the United States. With his vast background in French cooking and service and her Brazilian heritage, they merge their skills and heritage to create Braza.
